SonicFileFinder is a free add-in for Visual Studio that allows a fast and convenient search for any file within every Project of the loaded Solution by entering the complete filename or just a part of it. The found file(s) can either be edited with a single keystroke or a Windows Explorer / CommandLine prompt can be opened at the file’s location.

What’s new?

Version 3.1 is a compatibility release for different Visual Studio editions (Community, Pro, Enterprise).

  • FIXED: SonicFileFinder now installs and works in different editions of Visual Studio (Community, Pro, Enterprise).
  • FIXED: SonicFileFinder now runs inside older Visual Studio versions without having Visual Studio 2015 installed side-by-side.

    Hi Jens,

I have problems installing SonicFileFinder 3.1 into Visual Studio 2010. During installation it’s giving me the error ‘The extension manifest is invalid.’ What can I do to fix this?

    Regards,
    Timon Zijnge
